June in Pre-K

Claire won the SCC Spring Reading BINGO book prize!

We continue to practice our names, the names of letters and their sounds, patterns and shapes and we count everything!

Our co-operative play skills have developed so much this year. Students choose a variety of activities and interact with a many of their friends every Pre-K day.

Sleeping Bunnies and Unicorns and Butterflies and Dinosaurs and Frogs and Snakes and Transformers etc. (We can play this for a very long time.)

After Christmas we realized that more fine motor exercises were needed before we asked the students to colour inside lines, draw or print.

So we started coloring basic shapes and cutting them out.

  • "Pinch your crayon please."
  • "Colour back and forth and back and forth until all the white paper is coloured."
  • "Lay the scissors along the black line and squeeze slowly so you can stay on the line."

We had a fabulous year playing and learning together.

It was a wonderful year getting to know each of these precious children and we've made memories we'll cherish forever. Thank you for your support, kind words and gifts.

Mrs. Willford and I know from experience that time has a habit of passing by too quickly. Treasure the memories they are making. I know we do and we will claim them as our kids forever.
