Pre-K February

Pre-K is so much fun. There are some activities or classmates that students would call their favourite and gravitate to each day. We also see new friendships growing and new activities being tested. Their imaginations and energy are endless and we so enjoy playing and exploring together.

Apologies, Valentines Day flew by and we didn't slow down long enough to grab a camera for pictures but we sure did feel the LOVE that day!

Kindergarten February and March

REPORT CARD TIME
Representing is a very important skill in the elementary years.
1. Draw recognizable characters and objects.
2. Add text, the beginning sounds that help tell the story.
3. Verbally tell the story to the class.
4. Be a good listener, use both your eyes and ears

We are still developing fine motor technique and stamina.
* 3 Point Pincher Grip on the pencil
* Forming lines and colouring with clear direction
* Cutting on the line in smooth strokes while turning the paper with the free hand.
* Stamina to complete projects

3-D Shapes in Math were lots of fun.
We sorted them according to one attribute like, all the pieces with triangle faces.
We tried to remember their names, cube, cylinder, rectangular and triangular prism, cone, triangular and square based pyramid.
We made the shapes out of play dough. Sometimes we turned the cube into a dice and practised subtizing and data collection.
We even tried drawing 3-D!

Patterns have progressed too. Build and 3-Piece Core and Make it Repeat

Center Time is always lots of fun and now the special SHOW AND TELL days are adding fun too.

The Many Faces Of Success Spirit Day is more fun now that we have participated a few times.
