Click here to see more about September!

Prek has been very busy. The children are learning many routines.
1. Sitting together for stories and instructions
2. lining up and walking in a line
3. Serving themselves snack, sitting and visiting then tucking in their chairs before returning their dirty dishes.

All these activities require listening skills, self monitoring and patience and the students are doing great!
Playdough offers lots of fine motor and creativity.

Puzzles help develop fine motor and math skills.
Dramatic play develops creative, social and language skills.
The linking blocks had students counting and comparing numbers as well as comparing lengths. there is so much language that goes with those activities.

Helping with snack develops helpful attitudes, self help skills and motor coordination.

These penguins let students create colour groups and patterns. Then they discussed the difference between the two. They also got to read the colours on their ice bars.

Quiet time together develops friendships.

While fishing for magnetic letters students learn turn taking, letters, sounds and colours.

Individual choice is valued and encouraged, just like making small messes in the name of learning.

Happy Thanksgiving Day Everyone!
